Euclid’s novel approach to video processing and image management can deliver multiple benefits. The most immediate is the consistent delivery of HD video over mobile and other constrained networks to devices like laptops, tablets, and smartphones.
EuclidVision focuses on decreasing video file sizes. EuclidVision’s higher-level modeling techniques enable a smaller encoding of a video, which in turn decreases bandwidth consumption. The smaller bandwidth consumption allows more videos to be viewed in bandwidth-constrained environments.
Euclid tests its capabilities against the latest state of the art video compression technologies (H.264) for both HD video file size reduction and visual quality.
As we expand the number of videos processed and the reuse of our smart models, we can significantly reduce the size of vast video repositories.
EuclidVision’s extension of smart models opens the door to a new level of video-based search. Rather than today’s text-based search, smart models can be used to locate desired objects in video.
Smart models can also provide a novel means of managing digital rights. Content owners and content delivery networks could use smart models to “lock” videos. Without the appropriate models delivered to the decoder, a video simply would not play correctly.
